Farm to Fork

FROM FARM TO FORK, OUR GOAL IS SUSTAINABILITY IN EVERY STEP.

Habitat

We provide an environment where water quality is optimum. This minimises stress and keeps our fish happy and healthy, thereby preventing any disease outbreaks that are common in fish farms.

Husbandry

Having animal behaviour specialists on our team ensures that we take care of our fish as best as we can. For example, we create shelters underwater for fish that prefers to be hidden. We also isolate those that are weaker and ill to grow at their own pace.

Feed

People often say, “Garbage in, garbage out.” The opposite is also true. When we put something good into the process, we can expect good out of it. We use high quality feed which is good for both our fish and water system.

Waste management

All our waste is treated in-house, which means that we do not dump anything harmful back to the ocean. The waste is then dried and the compost is used as fertiliser.

Harvesting

We harvest at an optimal size to maintain peak quality and reduce waste.

Processing

We want to use as many parts of the fish as possible so that nothing is wasted. For example, when possible, besides processing the head, bone and body, the remaining parts can be made into other products such as fishball or feed.

Packaging

We are committed to implementing earth-friendly practices in our packaging by using biodegradable material, and more importantly, reducing packaging in general.

Delivery

We optimise delivery routes and frequency to reduce the miles required to transport our fish. This reduces “food miles”, the hidden environmental cost of transporting seafood from farm to table.
